CAMBRIDGE — Construction work continues at Calvary Pentecostal Assembly on Hespeler Road in Cambridge as a $4.7 million renovation and expansion takes place. The project began in May and will take about a year to complete.
The church is renovating about 40,000 existing square feet and adding 8,000 to 10,000 square feet in new space. The majority of the work will add three themed levels for children — one will have an underwater theme, another will look like a backyard treehouse and the third will resemble a factory or foundry. The church completed its last major construction project in 1999, and is expanding again to accommodate a growing congregation.
