WATERLOO — A man made off with prescription drugs yesterday after passing a pharmacy technician a note indicating he had a weapon.

The suspect walked into the store on Albert Street near Bearinger Road at about 3 p.m. Tuesday and went to the pharmacy counter, Waterloo Regional Police said.

The note demanded prescription pills, police said. The technician handed over an undisclosed amount of medication and the suspect took off.

No weapon was seen and no one was hurt.
