Open Text Corp. has appointed lawyer and banker Gar Emerson to its board of directors. Emerson is the former national chair of law firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP and former chief executive officer of investment banking firm NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd. He is chair of First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. and serves on several other boards, including those of CAE Inc. and Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. Open Text makes software that helps companies keep track of their documents and other content.
