WATERLOO
Turbosonic Technologies has won a $2.5 million US contract to install a previously ordered gas cooling system in a U.S. cement plant. The latest order brings the total value of the project to $3.6 million US, Turbosonic said in a release. The cooling system minimizes the formation of dioxins in the gas stream. The entire project will be completed by the end of 2008. Based in Waterloo, Turbosonic specializes in industrial air pollution-control technologies. Edward Spink, Turbosonic's chief executive officer, said the deal "demonstrates the continued confidence of this major international cement producer in Turbosonic's design and engineering capabilities."
